Payroll Specialist

Our client is seeking an experience Payroll Specialist to join their team due to growth.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
Position Overview: The Payroll Specialist will support be responsible for processing the entire organizations payroll as well as assisting in compensated related accounting.

Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist:

  • Performing general employee payroll record maintenance
  • Implementing and documenting policies, procedures and internal controls
  • Entering the general ledger all travel and expenditures
  • Gathering information on hours worked for each employee
  • Calculating the correct amount incorporating OT, deductions, bonuses, etc
  • Maintaining the T&E software, which includes mapping of codes and adding/deleting users as needed

Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist:

  • A minimum of 4 years payroll experience
  • Experience using Paylocity
  • Basic accounting skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Energetic multi-tasker who can problem solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in the use of various reporting tools

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
