POSITION
Summary:
Assumes responsibility for all copy functions from the creation of copy concepts and content, to writing merchandise/product copy, headlines and editorials, proofreading, fact-checking and approving. Ability to generate copy under extremely tight deadlines, adjust and revise as necessary. The Copywriter will work directly with the Content Director to establish a copy identity and voice that translates the brand positioning into a sales-driven marketing approach. The Copywriter will be responsible for writing all copy and incorporating the brands copy voice on all platforms including:
Responsible for all email copy
Email Preheaders & Subject lines (use of subjectline.com to rate)
Responsible for writing Blog Posts
Social Media captions
Involved in working with in house PR Manager and PR Agency for Press Releases and any media related
Responsible for advertising and content for campaign verbiage
Responsible for SEO copy blocks for all Department pages and key category page listings
Write new or update existing Brand copy
Responsible for Hang Tag copy (as needed, for new or updating)
Responsible for working on Size Charts & Sizing Info landing pages
New seasonal homepage, landing page and category banner copy
Package Inserts
Catalogs/Direct Mailings
Working on Lookbooks for the brand
Affiliate & partnership copy
Facebook/social media contests
All static site copy including updated FAQs, Privacy Policy, Contact Us, Intl Shopping sections (as needed)
Internal and external company-brand copy
Wholesale presentation packets and other needs for wholesale department
May be required to write in Indesign and/or Photoshop files.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
2-4 years copywriting experience preferably in catalog and/or web
Bachelors Degree
Strong collaboration skills and attention to detail
Thorough understanding of creative concept and execution process and layout design fundamentals
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) for effective interaction with all levels of company management and personnel
Candidates must have working knowledge of and be able to work in Indesign and Photoshop.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
